Compute theoretical need from the recipe
For each production layer, the material consumption per unit area is defined. Total theoretical need is the project takeoff multiplied by this consumption coefficient. The order plan is prepared by adding packaging and safety margins to this value.
But the project total is not enough for daily control. Theoretical consumption must also be computed against the work actually done. Counting the material of not-yet-applied areas in the deviation produces false alarms.

Keep four quantities in one table
The control table should hold total project need, theoretical use for work done, the quantity delivered to site and actual usage side by side. Site stock is computed by subtracting actual usage from deliveries.
This view stops purchasing, warehouse and production teams from working in separate files. When a delivery is entered the stock changes; when progress is updated the theoretical consumption changes — within the same data model.
Interpret deviation together with quantity
High usage does not always mean waste. Application thickness, substrate absorption, material left in packaging or a wrong location record can affect the result. The system flags the deviation; the field team confirms the cause.
